SELECTIVE MANDATES · FIVE AREAS OF EXPERTISE · A ROUTE TO PARTICIPATION
Advisory

We advise companies we believe have the potential to become investment opportunities

Our approach is simple: we think and act like owners, not traditional consultants. We work selectively with businesses we could see ourselves investing in—and we say no to those we wouldn’t.

Iridium Shield possesses its own advisory sector. It operates on the open market, but not indiscriminately: we take on companies we judge strategic and potentially interesting for entering their shareholding. The mandate is the first serious look at a business — its numbers, its governance, its people and the durability of its demand — and it is often the way a company enters our portfolio later.

That interest changes how the work is done. We are not paid to produce a document and leave; we work alongside management towards agreed objectives, with the same standards of reporting and market discipline we learned running companies listed on the main international markets in Europe and the United States.

Where the collaboration performs, advisory becomes participation. Equity earned against results delivered is the second of the three routes through which our portfolio grows, and it begins here.

AREAS OF EXPERTISE

Five disciplines, one team.

01

Strategic Advisory

Positioning, business model and the sequence of decisions that follow from them. We work on where the company should compete, what it should stop doing, and how a plan survives contact with a real market — including the preparation that precedes a capital operation or the entry of a new shareholder.
02

Governance & Compliance

Board structure, shareholder agreements, delegation of powers, internal controls and regulatory obligations. Companies that intend to grow beyond their home market, or to open their capital, need governance that reads clearly to a third party before they need anything else.
03

Finance & Administration

Reporting, planning, cash and cost structure, administrative processes and the quality of the accounts themselves. Our standard is the one applied to listed companies: figures that can be read plainly, month after month, without reconstruction.
04

International Growth

Entry into new territories and channels, commercial representation and access to our own network across Europe, the Americas, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific. We operate in any market with a solid legal system, where contracts are enforceable and jurisdiction is reliable.
05

Marketing

Brand, positioning and the commercial communication that carries them, including the media and broadcasting assets inside the group. Marketing is treated as an instrument of growth with measurable effect on revenue, not as an expense line.
HOW WE SELECT

Which mandates we accept.

01

Strategic, not opportunistic

We accept a mandate when the company is strategic for us — a business we could see ourselves holding a stake in. Volume is not the objective, and we would rather pass on ten companies than misread one.
02

Readable from the start

We do not take on situations whose accounting, tax, management or compliance dynamics are unclear, and we are not a practice that rescues businesses on the edge of bankruptcy. If the numbers cannot be read plainly, the opportunity is outside our terrain.
03

Sectors we know

Technology, media & entertainment, green energy, water recycling and fashion, along with other sectors with high profit capacity or a clear weight in the years ahead. The business, not the label, decides.
